Truck driver J.R. Harper watches as a herd of goats jump from the back of a truck Monday morning at the corner of Westland Rd. and Missile Dr. About 400 goats will spend the next few weeks eating spurge along Crow Creek as part of a program by the city of Cheyenne to remove the weeds without the use of pesticides. While most animals get sick from eating spurge, goats actually prefer to eat the milky plant. This is the second consecutive year the city has used the goats for weed control.
